Privacy notice

BursarBrief is currently operating an account pilot. The service stores account authentication data and a limited school-level profile so that regulatory and commercial intelligence can be personalised and retained between visits.

The school profile is limited to characteristics such as school name, phase, regulator, boarding status and organisational type. Users must not enter pupil names, safeguarding case details, health information or other sensitive personal data.

Authentication, school membership, source items, school alerts and brief history are stored in BursarBrief’s Supabase project. Row Level Security is used so authenticated users can access only the school records available to their account.

The monitoring engine uses public-source information, currently including material issued through GOV.UK by the Department for Education, Ofsted and HMRC. Every alert retains its original source URL.

No payment information is collected by the current pilot. Before paid customer onboarding opens, BursarBrief will publish a fuller privacy notice covering legal bases, service analytics, marketing contacts, retention, subprocessors, international transfers and data-subject rights.
